Sports Source Asia 2007 has attracted around 300 companies, primarily from top Asian manufacturing countries and regions such as Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, Korea, Pakistan, Malaysia, Taiwan and Thailand. :Significantly, the exhibitors include a number of leading manufacturers/suppliers who have never participated in an exhibition before. This is attributable to the confidence of the exhibitors in the co-organisers・ ability to draw in high quality, international buyers,; said Ronald Unterburger, Managing Director of MMI - Munich International Trade Fairs Pte Ltd (MMI). The fair is jointly organised by MMI and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). It is supported by the ispo group, organizer of the world・s premier trade shows for the sporting goods industry held annually in Munich and Beijing, connecting over 85,000 sporting goods industry trade professionals. Covering the full spectrum of sporting goods, equipment and accessories, Sports Source Asia 2007 has five themed zones: Sports Accessories, Sportswear, Sports Equipment, Fabrics & Materials with a special highlight on the Sports Shoes Zone. It is expected that Sports Source Asia 2007 will empower participants in many ways. As well as being a much-needed sourcing platform, it will also be a catalyst for business partnerships such as joint ventures, franchising and licensing arrangements. Globally, the sports sector in all its aspects is enjoying a period of tremendous growth. Traditional sports are moving into new communities while non-traditional and extreme sports are gaining more adherents every day. Sportswear and leisure wear have converged to create a new fashion market. Ltd. from Taiwan, ARB Worldwide Corporation Sdn. Bhd from Malaysia. SSI Marketing (Far East) Limited, Sing Wo Sports Ltd and Kason Sports International Ltd., K.S. Khurshid & Co (Pvt) Ltd. and Newlife Industries from Pakistan are just a few of the sports equipment exhibitors while the Sports Shoes Zone features names such as Yue Yuen Industrial Holdings Limited, Peninsula International Corporation Ltd from Hong Kong and XTEP (China) Co., Ltd from the Chinese mainland. Many International and local buyers have pre-registered to visit the show. The pre-registration shows that top brands, major sourcing houses and international chains have indicated their attendance.
